I need to be enlightened. I'm in an argument with a friend of mine over what classifies a character/image as being "furry." My definition is this: an anthropomorphic mammalian creature, whether mostly human or mostly animal. His definition: any anthro animal, whether with fur, scales, both, or neither.
Considering the fact that I've come to consider Sheezy my "furry resource" (I'm not into furries, so I've never been to fur affinity), can any of you Sheezers enlighten me? What exactly IS a furry, and what are the related anthro types (if any exist)? I'm really bad about arguing over stupid things, but still.
I'm a software developer from the Southern U.S. I like fuzzy little animals, scaly little herps (reptiles and amphibians), and a buncha other animal types. In people, I like the ones who speak their mind plainly, but also like to turn a punny phrase on occasion. As far as my art goes, give me a break; I've had no instruction!
Loves list: Cats, Anime, Japanese language, British humor, God, the United Way, my family, and funny people.
I don't know... I've never used the friend feature here before, and I normally only do that sort of thing with people I know. It's like Facebook; I don't accept friend invites there unless I know the people in real life. I kind of feel the same about this site. ^^:
Just because I have a cow doesn't mean you have to.
And I'm not really sure why I made that... I think it stemmed from a moo-off with a friend of mine, where we recorded our moos and had another friend judge whose was the funnnier.
Sorry; I was being lame. I was referring to the phrase "don't have a cow," when I said that.
Cows make some of the best pets! They do stink, and they slobber all over you when they lick you (as well as glob boogers all over your hand x_X), but can you imagine having a pet cow or a pet bull in your yard? No one would ever break in! Still... when they get bigger, it's harder to let them play with you like they did when they were calves.
You've had cows? Guh, cows are kind of gross but all the ones I've met are so sweet.
Yeah, that's true. Big cows would hurt if they tried to play. I can't really imagine an adult cow playing around, though
Most of the time it is. :) But even cows have bad days (we don't live in California, after all ), and sometimes they can kick at you. You have to be careful not to stand behind them. It's just like being around horses and donkeys, really.
You can, but they don't like it. :p Grandma's cows don't, anyway. I'm sure that if you train them and treat them very well, they'd tolerate it, but I've never tried it as a grownup. She had a really gentle bull when we were kids who'd let us ride him, though.
